The Fiji men's weightlifting team will need to finish in the top five and the women's in the top four of the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championship to be able to select representatives for the Rio Olympics in August.
National Weightlifting Coach, Josefa Vueti says 90% of the lifters are experienced as they participated in the last qualifiers for the Olympic Games in London.
16-year-old Weightlifter, Eileen Cikanamata is expected to arrive in the country next Monday while Manueli Tulo will arrive tomorrow for the competition.
24 local weightlifters will be participating in the championship.
Overseas teams are expected to start arriving this Sunday.
The 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championship will kick off next Tuesday and finish on Saturday at the Vodafone Arena.
