A 23 year old woman of Korovou died after she was hit by a bus last night.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the bus was on its way to Lodoni village from Natovi when the accident took place.
She died instantly.
The bus driver is in police custody undergoing interrogation.
The national road death toll now stands at 32 compared to 24 during the same period last year.
Police are once again calling on pedestrian and drivers to take extra precaution while using the road.
