Police have taken a 22 year old youth from Bulileka Labasa into custody for allegedly raping a form three student.
Labasa Police confirms the incident happened between 6.30 and 7pm Monday.
It is alleged that the youth took the girl to his home and forced her to have sex with him. The youth's family members were attending a religious function during the time of the incident.
The girl reported the matter to her mother who later reported the matter to Police.
The youth is expected to be charged today.
