A 20 year old man lost his life on roads after he lost control of the twin cab van he was driving causing it to tumble several times in Savusavu yesterday.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Suliano Tevita confirmed the deceased failed to negotiate a bend at Naidi village in Savusavu and vehicle tumbled.

Tevita said the man was rushed to hospital but was prnounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the passenger sitting in the front seat of the van is in a serious condition and has been admitted at the Labasa hospital while four others have been admitted at Savusavu hospital with minor injuries.

The road death toll now stands at 8 compared to 9 for the same period last year.
