Labasa Police charged a 20 year old man in the last hour in relation to the alleged murder of a 50 year old woman whose body was found on her door step on Thursday night.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the 20 year old was charged with one count of murder and is expected to appear in Labasa Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Police are still questioning a male and a female in relation to the alleged incident that took place in Raranikawai Labasa.

Police believe the woman was strangled as there were signs of injuries on the victim’s neck and other parts of her body.
