The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed that the 2016 Skipper Cup Competition has been deferred from the 2nd of April to the 23rd of April 2016.
FRU CEO John O’Connor confirmed that the FRU Board and Management took into consideration the devastating impact of Cyclone Winston on the various sports infrastructure in the West and in Ovalau.
O’Connor added that some players homes were destroyed and the difficulty for some Unions to prepare for the competition was also a factor in their decision to defer the start of the Skipper Cup Competition.
Nadroga is the defending champion of the Skipper Cup.
