The 2010 Coca Cola Games torch relay started today from the Kalabu Fijian School and over the next nine days it will travel around Viti Levu and Vanua Levu Schools involving 129 runners and 56 schools.
The torch was today lit at the Coca Cola Factory by Torch relay sponsor Bank of South Pacific.
Coca Cola Games chief organiser Vuli Waqa said the torch relay is very important and is an integral part of the build up and hype of the Games.
Waqa said the Torch that was lit today and will travel around the country, was used by Legendary Boxer Mohammad Ali in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on 30th April and 1st may at the tfl National Stadium.
