The Fiji Audio Visiual Commission has today announced that the 2008 Kula Awards has become a national event after the inclusion of two schools from the Northern Division.

Speaking at the Launch this morning, CEO for the Commission, Dan Bolea said that the event which initially started with eleven schools in 2006 has now grown to eighteen schools so far and they expect to see the numbers increase.

The two northern schools are in the process of finalising details with the Commission.

Bolea also adds that this year's Kula Awards will see two new catergories which will see the event grow in its aim to provide a creative outlet for many.
