The Sugar Industry Tribunal has decided on the dates of crushing for the 2008 season.
The Acting Sugar Industry Tribunal Anu Patel said crushing at all the four cane mills in Lautoka, Ba, Labasa and Rakiraki will start on the 10th of next month.
He requested cane farmers to start harvesting cane on 9th June to see that sufficient amount of cane is delivered to the mills on crushing day.
He said the decision on the crushing dates has been reached after consulting with the Sugar Commission of Fiji, Sugar Cane Growers Council and Fiji Sugar Corporation.
