2007 saw, to the later part of the year, an increase in the number of rape cases in Fiji and there is the hope that this will not be the case for 2008.
These are the sentiments of Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shameema Ali who adds that the Centre will be doing alot more work on the ground to try and change the mentality of young men with regards to women and rape.
Ali hopes that this year will be a more peaceful one than the last of the people of Fiji.
