The Administrator for Suva said that 200 business people have received permits to operate their businesses after 6pm daily.
Vijendra Prakash said that they have not received any complaints from the public so far and businesses in the city are running smoothly after hours.
Many shops like the internet cafes and billiard shops are not allowed to open after 6pm under the Emergency Regulation and in an attempt to reduce crime rates in the country.
