Twenty people have expressed their interest for the national fifteens coaching job.

This was confirmed to Fijivillage by Fiji Rugby Union Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca.

Waqabaca said the 17 applications are from New Zealand, Australia and Argentina while 3 are locals.

Waqabaca said FRU will make sure that careful consideration will be done to select the best person for the job.

Meanwhile, Waqabaca has also revealed that FRU has again made a special request to the Commonwealth to include the Vodafone Fiji 7s team in the games in July in Glasgow.

Waqabaca said they have received feedback that it’s too late to accommodate the Fiji 7s team but their hopes are high for a spot in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will take on France this Saturday at 1pm in their first Japan 7s match.

They will then play USA at 4:18pm and Samoa at 8:52pm.
