These were the words of Chief Justice Anthony Gates to the twenty new legal practitioners admitted to the Bar at the Supreme Court this morning.
Justice Gates told the lawyers that they had taken an oath to truly and honestly conduct themselves in the practice as a legal practitioner according to the best of their knowledge and ability.
One of the lawyers admitted was Sangeeta Chand of Lautoka who said she faced financial difficulties, but never gave up.
Meanwhile, Nilesh Sharma of Sigatoka said he had always dreamt of being a lawyer and today his dreams have come true.
Former Supervisor of Elections Felicity Heffernan was also admitted to the bar today.
It is not known at this stage whether Heffernan will take up the post again.
