20 member training squad prepares for Uprising 7s
After selection in the weekend, Dere reiterated to the players that all spots in the team is still up for grabs and selection at the end of the week will be based solely on what they show during training.
Dere reminded the players that local competitions like this one is always tough as they will be competing against teams that know their game pattern and players who they have always played with them.
The final 12 member team to travel to Wellington and Las Vegas will be selected after the Uprising Fiji 7s tournament.
Some of the players in the Digicel Fiji 7s squad include Dale Tonawai, Setefano Cakau, Jimilai Naikadawa, James Brown, Emosi Vucago, Osea Kolinisau and Livai Ikanikoda.
New players include Isaac Bainivalu, Iliesa Nadau, Isimeli Taqea, Jone Tiko, Timoci Sinate and Jo Nasilisili.
Uprising International 7s tournament will be held on 20th and 21st January.
