A joint operation between Land Transport Authority, Police and Tobacco Enforcement Unit saw a total of 20 bookings for drivers and passengers who were found smoking in Public Transport.

Transport Control Enforcement Unit Booking Officer Asivorosi Tuiqila said the bookings are for the past two weeks where the enforcement officers booked 20 drivers and passengers who were caught smoking in public vehicles.

He added that among these bookings 12 drivers were also booked who failed to have child restraining devices in their vehicles for the safety of the kids under the age of 8 years.
