A final decision will be made this Friday whether star midfielder Alvin Avinesh and striker Jone Vono Junior will play for Lautoka in the first round of Vodafone Fiji FACT this weekend.
Lautoka soccer president Shalendra Prasad said Avinesh has a torn muscle and doctors at the Lautoka Hospital told him to have complete bed rest and suggested water therapy.
According to Prasad, Jone Vono has a flu and doctors will conduct the final review this Friday.
Prasad said for short term glory they would not want to force these players to play as they are also looking after players’ welfare.
He added the Lautoka soccer team will now have to travel to Suva late Friday night or Saturday morning.
Lautoka takes on Navua at 1pm at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
In other matches Rewa plays Nadi at 3.45pm, Ba takes on Nadroga at 5.45pm while the feature match of Day 1 sees Labasa taking on Suva at 7.45pm.
