Two men charged with damaging property and larceny will be spending 6 to 16 months in prison after they were sentenced by the Suva Magistrate Court this morning.

The court heard that on 1st January this year, 24 year old Ron Lomalagi and 20 year old Jalesi Bati broke the windows of a car parked at Namadi Heights and took off with a bag contaning wallet, camera, diamond ring and I-pod charger to the value of $6690.

The bag belonged to a foreigner from Australia who was visiting a friend in Namadi Heights.

Lomalagi was sentenced to 8 months imprisonment for each count to be served consecutively while Bati was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for each count to be served concurrently.
