The top two executives of the Methodist Church of Fiji are expected to decide in due course on the call made in the meeting last week for the two to step down from their posts.

Fijivillage has received information that when some of the church ministers asked that Reverend Ame Tugaue step down from the President's post and Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu step down from the General Secretary's position, the two called on the 130 church ministers and stewarts to pray about the matter raised.

Meanwhile it has also been raised that the executives have not gone through a proper induction ceremony.

However Methodist Church Assistant General Secretary, Reverend Tevita Nawadra said the executives were elected during the conference and they are holding the positions based on that.

Reverend Nawadra said the induction is just a ceremony and it does not mean that the executives are not rightfully holding the positions if the induction ceremony has not taken place.
