Two students got the best gift of their lives today when they were awarded with the 1st ever pair of scholarships introduced by the University of the South Pacific.

17 year old Rajnita Singh of Valelevu and 18 year old Charlene Wong of Suva today received their awards from the Vice Chancellor of USP, Professor Rajesh Chandra.

Singh scored the highest, 370 marks out of 400 in the Fiji 7th form examination while Charlene Wong achieved an A+ in her foundation studies.

While awarding the students, Professor Chandra commented that the USP felt last year that they needed to promote academic excellence.
