2 rushed to hospital after car plunge
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said a passenger and the driver of the taxi received injuries after the taxi went off the road and plunged 40 meters off the hill, at around five this morning.
Inspector Sokomuri said the passenger is admitted at CWM Hospital in a serious condition while the driver received some injuries and is also admitted.
He has urged drivers to be careful on the roads and especially in the rainy season.
Meanwhile, Police are calling on information in relation to an unidentified man who lost his life in a fatal accident yesterday afternoon.
The accident happened around 5 yesterday afternoon when the unidentified man walking up through the World Harvest Center building towards Delainamasi Primary school when he was chased by two dogs.
The man tried to escape from the dogs and in the process ran across the road and was bumped by an on-coming taxi and died instantly. A 35-year-old taxi driver is currently being interviewed.
