Tropical Depression TD03F is moving away from Fiji and is gradually weakening but the Weather Office has now analyzed two more systems which are anticipated to affect the Fiji group in the next few days.
Weather Office Acting Director Viliame Vereivalu says on the projected path, the centre of the Tropical Depression is expected to be located about 180km north‑northeast of Lakeba at midday today.
The Tropical Depression is moving at 22 kilometres per hour at the moment and it is weakening.
Vereivalu says they have identified two more Tropical Disturbances.
They are TD04F and TD05F.
TDO4F upgraded to a Tropical Depression this morning and the Nadi Weather Office has issued a strong wind warning for all land areas of Lau and Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Northern Viti Levu from Rakiraki to Tailevu North.
A heavy rain warning is also in force for the eastern half of Viti Levu which includes Navua, Rewa and areas along Wainibuka and Wanimala.
The heavy rain warning is also in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Vereivalu says the potential for the two systems to develop into a Tropical Cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours is low to moderate.
He says the environmental condition remains favourable for further intensification.
Vereivalu stresses that the systems are expected to move closer towards Fiji and affect the Group in the next few days.
These two new systems have not entered the Fiji group yet.
He says further information will be provided as the systems move closer towards the Group.
The Weather Office says the systems are closely monitored and any alert and warning will be issued as and when necessary.
