Two former New Zealand Sevens players will play for England in the Wellington sevens this weekend.
Jack Wilson and Warwick Lahmert who have both played for the New Zealand Sevens team under the leadership of Coach Gordon Tietjiens have switched allegiance.
Lahmert has represented England in previous tournaments but this will be Jack Wilson’s England debut.
Although born in England, Jack Wilson has played eight times for Bay of Plenty in 2012 and the same year he made his sevens debut for New Zealand in Hong Kong.
Taranaki's Lahmert played five tournaments for the All Blacks Sevens in 2012‑13 before dropping out of the squad.
The England side for Wellington sevens includes Tom Bowen, Dan Bibby, Cameron Cowell, Alex Davis, Richard DeCarpentier, Alex Gray, Warwick Lahmert, Ruaridh McConnochie, Tom Mitchell (captain), James Rodwell, Ethan Waddleton and Jack Wilson.
England is in pool C with USA, France and Samoa.
England is highly likely to meet the Vodafone Fiji 7s if Fiji wins all their Pool matches.
Meanwhile, Fiji is in Pool B with Japan, Wales and Argentina.
The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will depart for Wellington today.
They will take on Japan at 11.36am this Saturday.
Fiji will face Wales at 2.38pm and take on Argentina at 5.46pm this Saturday.
The Cup quarters will start at 12.02pm Sunday, the Cup semis start at 4.27pm while the Cup final kicks off at 7.30pm.
