2 dead in tragic incidents
Deputy Director Police Operations SP Erami Raibe has confirmed that the man, who is from Nasinu, was found hiding in the bushes by some villagers of Vunaniu.
He confessed to police about the incident.
The alleged incident took place in July and he was hiding in the bushes since then.
According to Raibe, the man and his wife got separated and he was paying maintenance as the custody of the child was given to the child's grandparents.
Police are trying to recover the body of the son.
On to another sad incident involving a child.
The post mortem report of a 3 year old girl whose body was found floating in the Beqa waters, revealed that she died of choking.
Erami Raibe said police are now treating the case as murder.
It was earlier believed that the girl had drowned however the report said that she may have been strangled.
