Two people lost their lives in a horrific road accident at Nadi back road yesterday afternoon.
At about 4.30pm they were returning home from work in a van when the driver lost control of the vehicle, and went off the road and hit a wall near Kerebula.
Police spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the two who were passengers in the vehicle died instantly.
Post mortem is expected to be conducted later today.
The road death toll is now 43 compared to 30 for the same period last year.
Meanwhile, police have managed to identify the man who received serious injuries in a road accident at Reservoir Road over the weekend.
Some relatives identified 32 year old man from Lami yesterday as he remains admitted at the CWM hospital.
The vehicle he was in fell about 40 meters down the hill.
