Seven people who were involved in a horrific road accident in Valley Road, Sigatoka yesterday afternoon remain admitted at the Sigatoka hospital.
Two people died in the accident.
Assistant Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the nine were on their way to the Sigatoka town when the 20 year old driver lost control.
The twin cab tumbled twice claiming two lives.
The post mortem of the two will be conducted today.
The road death toll is now three compared to one during the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Nadi police are questioning a 42 year old man of Nadi in relation to the death of a 22 year old man who is believed to have been a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in an accident on Saturday night.
According to police the vehicle owner is in custody while the hunt continues for the driver, whose identity is known to police.
The driver fled the scene after the accident.
The deceased was found lying a few meters away from the vehicle.
