There are now two confirmed cases of Influenza A H1N1 in Fiji.

The first case a 36 year old man in Nadi who was confirmed of having the virus on Saturday, while the second case a 32 year old man also in Nadi was confirmed of having the virus yesterday.

Both patients came into contact with infected persons while in Australia.

With these two confirmed cases of the virus, the Health Ministry is faced with the daunting task of tracking down anyone who may have come into contact with the infected persons in the country.

Health Ministry permanent secretary Dr Sala Saketa confirmed that they have looked into the travel history of the two as they try to stop the spread of the virus.
