Police have arrested and charged two employees of a prominent company in Suva with larceny by servant for allegedly stealing $44,000 from the company.

Assistant Police spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said the two went to deposit the weekends takings at a bank in Lami yesterday morning when they allegedly decided to share the money.

One of the suspects then informed police that they were robbed.

Upon investigations police found out that both had allegedly stolen the money.

They were arrested last night and all the money was recovered.

One of the suspects has also been charged with giving false information to police.

Both are in police custody and expected to appear in court tomorrow.
