Two changes have been made to the South African 7s team for the Wellington Sevens next week.
Philip Snyman has been chosen to captain South Africa for the first time.
Sandile Ngcobo will make his debut at the tournament and Carel du Preez comes in for Dylan Sage.
Captain Kyle Brown is ruled out due to injury.
South African 7s Coach Neil Powell says his team will focus on consistency in the Wellington and Sydney 7s.
He says his selection has mainly focused on players who will be able to effectively contest kick-offs.
Justin Geduld, Seabelo Senatla, Ryno Benjamin and Chris Dry are some of the senior players in the team.
South Africa are the top seeds in Pool A and they face Scotland, Russia and New Zealand.
