Two Suva soccer players, Joseph Mishra and Cedric Dutt have been suspended for one year and fined $5000 each.

Association President Mahendra Prasad said Mishra and Dutt have breached their contract with Suva soccer by not training with the squad during the teams preparation for the Champion versus Champion series.

Prasad added Mishra went to New Zealand without informing them and there are also other matters against him which they cannot tolerate.

He said at a meeting earlier this week the association decided to suspend the Mishra and Dutt where they will only be released to play for other districts after they clear all their dues.

The loss means Suva will play miss their services against Ba in the first leg of the Champion versus Champion series at Churchill Park tomorrow at 4pm.
