Two men pleaded guilty to storing away to Australia in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Asaeli Tuibacalevu, 34 years, of Lami and Nacani Bale, 32 years, of Suvavou stored away to Brisbane on the 29th of last month onboard the MV Captain Tasman which was berthed at Suva Wharf without the consent of the Captain.
Upon reaching Brisbane after six days the two were found hiding inside a container before they got out and jumped over a fence to try and get away. They were later caught on camera and were arrested and sent back to Fiji.
Today Tuibacalevu sought forgiveness in court as he has a family to look after. Magistrate Aminiasi Katonivualiku remanded the two for sentencing on the 16th of this month.
