2 In Custody for Alleged Possession of Drugs
Divisional Crime Officer Northen, ASP Luke Rawalai confirms the two who are working for a construction company on the Island were arrested this morning after a tip-off.
Police obtained 52 rolls and 55 parcels of dried leaves from the two and they are now waiting for the analyst report after which both are expected to be charged.
Rawalai said they have intensified their investigation and are now trying to locate the distributer of the dried leaves.
Meanwhile, an 8 year old boy is admitted at the Labasa Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle at Tabia, Labasa, yesterday afternoon.
The victim who is a class 3 student was crossing the road with another student when he fell down and as a result he was hit by the vehicle.
He received multiple injuries to his head and legs.
The 22 year old driver has been questioned and released pending investigations.
