The Nadi Weather Office has predicted that at least two tropical cyclones are expected to pass over the western and southern parts of the Fiji group during the cyclone season.
Director Rajendra Prasad said that for the last decade, the western and southern divisions have not been hit by a tropical cyclone and the residents should be prepared.
A total of eight tropical cyclones are expected to form in the Pacific region this season.
