Two players from the Ba soccer team have been badly affected by the recent flood and will not be able to join the team to go to New Zealand to play in the O-league match against AS Tefana this Sunday.

Ba soccer secretary, Iliaz Khan said a total of eight players were affected by the floods however Peter Hughes and Aisea Codro’s houses sustained damages.

He added the team is currently training at Ba Soccer Academy and the players are going for training and are also finding time to clean up their homes.

According to Khan “things are normalizing slowly”.

He confirmed they will work out the costs of traveling to New Zealand tomorrow as the Ba football association and the Oceania Football Confederation will look after the costs.

The Ba team flies out to New Zealand this Friday and the match against AS Tefana will kick off at 4.30pm Sunday.
