Police are looking for two men who robbed two Australian tourists in their yacht early this morning at the Natovi jetty in Tailevu.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand confirms the 62 and 59yr-old couple were sleeping in their yacht when, between 3 to 4am, they heard someone walking on the yacht.
When they confronted the suspects the tourists were assaulted and tied up. The suspects got away with 10,000 cash in Fijian, US, Australian and Solomon currencies along with some valuable items.
The robbers escaped in a fibre glass boat. Both tourists received injuries and were treated at Korovou Health Center.
