2 in hospital after stabbing incident
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said the 28 and 36 year old victims were having a party in Vunato settlement at around 12.15 yesterday morning when a 28 year old man confronted them.
Police said the 28 year old man allegedly stabbed the two with a kitchen knife.
The two received deep cuts to their head and neck.
Police are still looking for the alleged stabber.
Meanwhile, a Police officer is in CWM after he was allegedly assaulted in Nadera this morning when he tried to apprehend a man who was trying to cut open a grill and enter a house to rob a family.
The incident happened at around 3 this morning when Valelevu Police received a call from a family in Qarase Road that someone was trying to enter their home.
Police were quick to respond however when one of the officers tried to arrest the man, he was struck with a pinch bar.
The man then fled the scene.
