The Easter holidays turned tragic for a family in Yasawa after a 1-year-old girl drowned yesterday.
The toddler’s mother left her in the care of her two other siblings aged 6 and 10 years old when she disappeared.
Her body was found floating in the sea a few minutes later by villagers.
The drowning toll is now 19 compared to 16 during the same period last year.
