A 19 year old youth of Nausori is in serious condition at the CWM hospital after he was stabbed by one of his relatives during a drinking party yesterday.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand has confirmed that the incident took place in Kuku, Nausori where two groups were drinking.
An argument developed between the two groups leading to the free for all brawl.
The victim who lives nearby came to stop the brawl when one of his relatives got a kitchen knife and stabbed him on neck, chest and other parts of the body.
He was taken to Wainibokasi Hospital but was later rushed to the CWM hospital due to the seriousness of his injury.
The man is expected to be charged later today.
