Lautoka Police are questioning a 28 year old man for allegedly raping a 19 year old woman in Lautoka yesterday.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, SP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that the victim was returning home from nightclub when the suspect allegedly confronted her in a park and allegedly raped her.
It is alleged that the victim was also assaulted many times.
She sustained serious injuries.
A watchman who heard the victim calling for help and came to her rescue.
The suspect fled the scene.
Charges are expected to be laid soon.
