A member of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji said that the 1987 coup and events following which amounted to treason stopped her from voting again.
Peni Moore said she believes that people should be able to vote for any person they think is capable of running the country and not on an ethnic basis.
Moore made the comments when the Ousted Leader of Opposition questioned where she was when the 2006 coup took place.
Mick Beddoes said Moore is entitled to her opinion but the fact remains that she has never been involved in choosing a representative to run the country.
Moore last night stressed during consultations on the draft Charter in Nausori that she has not voted in the elections as she did not find anyone capable to lead the country.
Beddoes said that Moore's decision to join the NCBBF to try and make amends for the mistakes made by her Colonial ancestors is all about casting the blame to someone for her mistakes.
