A 19 year old youth charged with one count of burglary and theft is remanded at Korovou prison for two weeks.

This is after strong objection for bail by Police Prosecutor Leone Lautabui.

The Court heard that Sailosi Vunidakua of Nanuku settlement in Vatuwaqa is alleged to have on the 1st May this year entered the house of a Frances Gavidi and allegedly stole two mobiles, some cash and a handbag worth $673.

The court heard that Gavidi was asleep and was woken up by some noise, she saw a man wearing a cap walking around the room.

Lautabui objected to bail saying that the accused was a known felon and had previous convictions of the same nature.

Magistrate Makereta Mua has ordered that Vunidakua be remanded in custody until a decision is made on bail in two weeks time.
