19 New Zealand swimmers will be coming to Fiji this week to take part in the Fiji Swimming Grand Prix Meet on Saturday.

Swimming team official Vuki Buadromo said the swimmers are from the Nelson South Swimming Team will be competing against swimmers from local clubs in Suva and Nadi.

Among the team is Oceania Championships Fiji Team member, Skye Eden.

The Grand Prix this weekend will comprise Individual Medley, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly events and is part of Fiji Swimming's build up to the 2011 Pacific Games.

The Grand Prix will be held at the Aquatic Centre in Suva on Saturday.
