A total of 1,840 taxis only have been adjusted to the new flag fall rate.
Safeway Electronics Managing Director Tauz Khan said taxis are still coming into the company to get their metres adjusted however he added there seems to be lack of initiative from the drivers themselves to get their metres adjusted.
Khan said so far they have calibrated almost 1,900 taxis with work on the metres continuing today.
Land Transport Authority Chief Executive Etuate Koroi said the public should know that there are drivers around who want to make an extra 50c.
Koroi added people should immediately get off a taxi whose metre has not been adjusted, note the registration number and report it to the LTA.
