It was a joyful moment for a 17 year old Vilisi Tavui who will be part of the Fiji Pearls that will feature in the Digicel Tri Series Plus One Championship starting next week.
Tavui who is a Year 12 student at Lelean Memorial School said she is excited to represent Fiji in the Championship.
She said she went through a lot of challenges in securing a spot in the final 12 member team.
Tavui says she was always inspired by her cousin Unaisi Rokoura who was also a National Netball Rep.
Meanwhile the Fiji Pearls will host Papua New Guinea and Northern Ireland in the Digicel Tri Series Plus One Championship next week at the Vodafone Arena.
