17 lawyers were admitted to the Bar today before Chief Justice, Justice Anthony Gates, Justice John Bryne, Justice Salesi Temo and Justice Paul Madigan and family members.

Chief Justice Gates told the new lawyers to conduct themselves to the best of their abilities as legal practitioners.

Chief Justice Gates said a lawyer must act professionally drafting documents accurately and must be aware of the rules.

Meanwhile, Justice Gates also warned the new practitioners not to walk into the Courtroom without re-checking their files.

He advised them that they should be prepared, do a lot of reading and research and analyze before they defend a case.

The Chief Justice also told the lawyers not to be afraid when they are tasked to serve an important person or defend a notorious person.
