A total of 16 drivers were arrested for drunk driving last night, of which nine of them are from Nausori.
Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra said apart from the 9 in Nausori, 1 was booked in Navua, 1 in Suva, 1 in the West and 4 in the North.
According to SSP Mishra, apart from drunk driving, more than 100 drivers were also booked for speeding and careless driving yesterday.
It is expected that some drivers who have been booked for drunk driving will appear in a special court sitting today.
