Sixteen evacuation centres have been set up in Nadi, Ba, Tavua and Nadroga with a total of 1047 people currently sheltered there.
DISMAC has revealed that in Nadi, 10 centres have been set up and a total of 586 people are being assisted.
The Evacuation Centres in Nadi are as follows:
Narokorokayawa Community Hall, Sabeto District School, Votualevu Community Hall, Oye Sikituri Church Hall, Wasa Military Camp, Sikituri Methodist Hall, Maqalevu Community Hall and the Police Recreation Hall in Korovuto.
In Ba: out of the four centres set up there are 397 people.
The Centres are as follows:
Votua Catholic School, Natutu Church, Vatalaulau Indian School and the Red Cross Hall.
In Tavua, in the lone evacuation Centre in Tavua Diostrict School there are 35 people while in Nadroga at the Sigatoka Methodist School 29 people are being assisted by DISMAC.
