Police in Kadavu are questioning a 15 year old boy of Kadavu for allegedly raping his 9 year old cousin.
Police have confirmed that the alleged incident took place when the victim with other children from the village was picking fruits from the bushes.
It is alleged that the boy chased the rest of the children and allegedly raped the class 3 student.
The girl reported the matter to her family members who then reported it to police.
He is expected to be charged soon.
