15,642 class eight students will be sitting their Fiji Eighth Year Examination tomorrow.

The results of this examination are expected to be released at the end of October.

Meanwhile Education Minister, Filipe Bole has stressed that school does not end soon after the final examinations, and students should be in schools until the last day of the school term.

He adds the government is paying free tuition for all primary and secondary school students, thus it has to see that all students are in school until the last day of each term.

Bole's comment comes after a class 6 student of Navua was found selling roti parcels at the Ministry's Marela House in Suva. When the girl was asked why she was not in school by a Ministry official, she replied that she had completed her examinations.

Bole says that while there may be factors surrounding the girl selling food in offices around Suva, parents should not forget that the end of examinations does not mean the end of school. He says that the second term will end on the 21st August.
