15 students receive awards for essays
The students were chosen from an essay competition for secondary schools on a central theme related to Fiji's role in international organizations on issues such as environment, gender and social concerns.
The two overall winners were Keresi Samuta a form seven student of the Suva Christian Community High school and Menon Ram also a form seven student of Bhawani Dayal Arya College.
Samuta who was given a certificate of Distinction said she explained very simply that tiny as we are, Fiji has made its name in the international big waters.
Today she dedicate her win to her family and aunt who encouraged her to compete and was given a trophy and $1000 cash prizes
Deputy Head of Mission, Peter Lund praised the efforts from the students who participated in the competition.
Other students received certificates of excellence, merit and commendation.
