15 new and amended laws will be officially introduced by the International Rugby Board next year but it will be tested in the upcoming test matches.

Some of the notable new laws are if the ball is knocked on before it goes out of play then the opposing team has the option of taking a quick lineout or having the scrum compared to before where the only option is the scrum.

Another interesting law is most winning teams tend to slow the game down or consume time towards the end of a game, but this will not be the case as the attacking team will be given five seconds to use the ball when it is available.

Fiji’s top referee James Bolabiu said the Flying Fijians will have to familiarize themselves with these new laws as it will be applied in their Europe tour.

Bolabiu added these new laws will certainly bring more excitement to the game.
